Fine Art Photographer / Art Director
Ellie Aoki is a Japan-born fine art and music photographer working primarily with analogue film. Her work explores love, memory, neurodivergence, and emotional connection — translating deeply personal experiences into cinematic visual narratives. Rooted in storytelling and reflection, she captures vulnerability, youth culture, and the quiet poetry of human relationships.
Drawing inspiration from Sofia Coppola’s softness, the intimacy of Sagasig, and the dreamlike realism of Moni Haworth, Ellie’s images blend emotional realism with stylised direction and atmospheric light. Her debut solo exhibition LOVE IS(Osaka, 2024) explored the many forms of love through photography and a self-published zine. Her debut international show Before It Blooms (London, 2025) reflected on belonging and transformation — marking her first exhibition in the UK.
Alongside her fine art practice, Ellie documents underground music culture in both London and Japan. Her series What’s on Tonight? (Osaka, 2025) captured the emotion and energy of raves and live performances, expanding her visual storytelling into collective and sonic spaces.
Her work has been featured in Dazed Digital (UK, 2025) and ArtCast (Italy, 2024). She continues to collaborate with independent fashion labels, musicians, and cultural collectives whose values align with her visual and emotional language.

ソフィア・コッポラの柔らかさ、サガシグの親密さ、モニ・ハワースの夢のようなリアリズムにインスピレーションを得たエリーの写真は、感情的なリアリズムと様式化された演出、そして雰囲気のある光を融合させています。デビュー個展「LOVE IS」(大阪、2024年)では、写真と自費出版のZINEを通して、様々な愛の形を探求しました。デビューとなる国際展「Before It Blooms」(ロンドン、2025年)では、英国での初の個展となりました。
ファインアートの制作に加え、エリーはロンドンと日本のアンダーグラウンドミュージックカルチャーを記録しています。彼女のシリーズ「What’s on Tonight?」(大阪、2025年)は、レイブやライブパフォーマンスの感情とエネルギーを捉え、視覚的なストーリーテリングを集団的かつ音響的な空間へと拡張しました。
彼女の作品は、Dazed Digital (イギリス、2025年)やArtCast (イタリア、2024年)にも掲載されています。彼女は、自身の視覚的・感情的な言語と価値観が一致する、インディペンデントファッションレーベル、ミュージシャン、文化団体とのコラボレーションを続けています。
